Carbon Offsets Australia Pty Ltd is a 100% Indigenous-owned and managed company. We are an environmental organisation on a mission to protect our climate by restoring soils and forests, to create carbon offsets on behalf of carbon-emitting clients and individuals.
There is no amount of carbon offsets that is too small or too big. Whether you want just 1 tonne of carbon to be sequested on your behalf or your company needs 5 million tonnes, Carbon Offsets Australia, is the only company you need to consider to get the job done.
We are the only company to have a rolling stock of 50 million seedlings. We have the workforce required to undertake large scale revegetation projects. We have the land, unincumbered. We have the desire to make an impact on your behalf.
We regenerate large areas of damaged land and plant native biodiverse forests to capture carbon emissions on behalf of our clients and customers and help fight the impacts of climate change.
Our large-scale revegetation projects are planted by a 100% Indigenous workforce that are local to the areas in which we are planting. We contract our labour, known as Carbon Culture, from our partner NFP organisation, Desire to Aspire (D2A), which have a strong network across Indigenous communities around Australia. We have a strong partnership with Carbon Culture, who have work crews that are usually made up of Indigenous people with multiple barriers to employment.
Carbon Offsets Australia is able to offer the unskilled work crews the opportunity to become skilled on the job and to undertake suitable career paths or further training that could lead them from a tree planter to a carbon or environmental specialist on our long-term projects.
We understand the benefits of providing these type of employment opportunities where there might be no local jobs and more so the benefits to people who have been unable to gain employment previously due to numerous barriers.
Our forests address critical deforestation, desertification, or desalination, absorb carbon emissions to protect our climate, improve soil quality which has been stripped of its natural minerals and bacteria, restore natural biodiversity and restore vital habitat for native wildlife. In addition, our forests are legally protected for up to 100 years through an on-title agreement with each landowner.

What We Do
Increasing natural biodiversity
Trees are the ultimate keystone species — many insects, fungi, and other wildlife, depend on specific types to survive — so when they disappear, entire ecosystems can get degraded. By planting trees on degraded land, we are bringing back the original ecosystems that once existed in those areas.
Providing employment for disadvantaged Indigenous people.
Our workforce on the ground is Carbon Culture, a 100% Indigenous workforce made of local people from the areas in which we have our large scale projects. Carbon Culture is provided by the NFP organisation Desire to Aspire. Many of the workers have numerous barriers to obtaining employment in the mainstream system. Whereas we are able to provide long term, sustainable employment until they have developed their knowledge and skills to undertake further environmental training or employment opportunities.
Our Difference
Most carbon offsets are sold year-by-year from projects that are already built and operating, with the carbon credits being created then sold. These offsets help Project Investors recover their investment and support the market for supply of carbon credits.
That approach to the market works for many projects, but it has a weakness: lots of smaller, community-based projects can’t get funded if they must wait for year-by-year offset revenues. Instead, with Carbon Offset Australia carbon offsets, our customers purchase a project’s long-term carbon units upfront. This provides critical financing that enables project construction and full delivery. It also provides peace of mind to our clients that they have actioned their commitment to their shareholders, customers and met community expectations. Additionally, it provides the opportunity for our clients to lock in the price per offset unit upfront, meaning the price will not increase dramatically over time, as is expected due to supply and demand issues.
Our carbon offsets fix a market failure that is preventing the development of many high-quality community-based projects.

Our Mission
Is to plant millions of trees to create biodiverse native forests on regenerated soil as our carbon offset projects, across Australia, on behalf of our customers and clients. These carbon offset projects aim to reduce the impact carbon emissions are having on our environment and climate. Through our carbon offset projects we aim to make our customers and clients feel more connected to the environment which will empower them to help protect and restore it for future generations.
Most climate scientists agree that rising temperatures are being caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the earth’s atmosphere. Most of the increase in GHG concentrations is the result of emissions associated with human activities, such as burning fossil fuels (oil, coal, and natural gas), cutting down forests, and certain agricultural activities. Most climate scientists, including those working on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, believe that human activities are the principal causes of these changes.
